i think it's fun to talk about but people take it way too seriously and try to turn it into a categorical system of objective truth about reality for no goddamn reason
i think they would give up or at least go mad if you told them to divine the taxonomic boundary that delineates what is and isn't a "salad"
Yeahhh... spared my last chuckle for that back while still a teen, friends arguing about whether taking a bath with a chip constitutes a dip

lets get REALLY pedantic: it's not actually a "meal" unless it contains ground grain. otherwise it's just a snack
but yeah people started getting really mad at me when i started being like "no a taco isn't a sandwich because that's why we made up the word taco. because it's not a sandwich. words mean things"
