I think that Cohost's lack of discoverability and algorithm makes it easier to get overwhelmed(posts getting missed) when following lots of people, so you end up not following a lot of new people so it's hard to get new kinds of posts on ur feed and you get this feeling more
ok so i made this comment before i saw the @staff update with that new feature coming soon so its kind of a not relevant comment anymore
I see plenty of Computers but that's because they're my actual friends! I also see a lot of art and music and just random stuff because I deliberately made it that way! use the tag function, folks 
i consider this mostly a feature but it is kind of impressive how completely invisible a person you don't follow can become.
