i feel like such a failure for not finishing my EP before the original deadline. and also for kinda slowing down on making music the past few years. i have this problem where i need to constantly be making things and if i stop its hard to get back into the old rhythm and it makes me feel stupid

yo that's not stupid that's just normal human habit building!!! when you're in the habit of Doing Things it's way easier to Do Things - they are second nature because it's what you're used to doing. when you've been out of it, it's more challenging to get back into the habit. but also we can't reasonably be expected to be in the habit 100% of the time, there is always push and pull, so don't beat yourself up for being a got dang human being. ok!!!
That’s just brains, brains are really great and also occasionally extremely irrational and unhelpful. It’s not stupid, it’s just being human. Keep on truckin’, you’ll get there.
