I like what she said at the concert I saw back in 2022, something like, "I wrote it when I was young, and having grown, it's not a way I like to speak about other women. We stopped playing it because I didn't like singing those lyrics, but it's also the song that made us famous and people come out to hear it, so to please both of us, I'm just going to not sing that part. You can and should sing whatever you want." and then when they played it, she just didn't sing that line and the whole crowd sang it for her. It was a neat way to handle it, I think.
I think it's good that she apologized but I also think about how, to my knowledge, nobody has ever apologized for panic at the disco
