got any recommendations? I love Head Hunters, partially because I actually used to perform Chameleon back in high school, but I could really use some more lol

Casiopea will always treat you right. i'm a sucker for, like, The Rippingtons and Yellowjackets–90s Weather Channel shit. Bitches Brew by Miles Davis if you want another stone cold classic for sure. Weather Report, Spyro Gyra. Snarky Puppy and The Comet is Coming for newer stuff. yeah!!!

haha yeah love Snarky Puppy, we idolized them in the jazz ensemble, every month or so a few of us would gather around the Bent Nails video and just lose our minds over it haha

Casiopea (and T-Square, which I was passingly familiar with due to Gran Turismo) have turned out to rival only Studio Ghibli’s Castle in the Sky in impact for me, both of them feel like “oh wait maybe something caused this crater I’ve been walking around” moments. A huge influence on video games that I’ve been playing for basically my whole life, among tons of other things. It’d be like explaining Lord of the Rings to someone who’s been an enthusiast fan of Western fantasy for years but just never got recommended it lol

So thanks a ton for that. :)
