With people learning about RSS, I want to mention something that you'll probably all want to know, if you haven't found it yet.
Unless "some guy" wrote it in an afternoon, every RSS reader can export and import Outline Processor Markup Language, which lets you move your set of RSS feeds around. Do you not like your reader? Export OPML and import it into a different reader. Want to share your collection with people? Hand out the file...as long as you don't have any feeds that require a password.
Advanced Stuff: You can also hand-edit the OPML file, too, if you take some care with the XML so that you don't leave rogue opening or closing tags. If you don't know what that means, then you probably don't want to do it. But if you do know what that means, then this lets you share what you read with somebody without worrying about that one feed that embarrasses you.
Most podcast applications do something similar, by the way, but I don't want to muddy the topic.
