hello (at) nickyflowers.com

ok so: my gf's mom used to work for a video game company as a programmer in the 80s. i got to talking to her about it and she mostly worked on VIC-20 software. she mentioned having her old machine in storage and i asked if i could take a look at it. she comes over to the house weeks later with the machine in its original box and everything. this is all very cool

it gets better though

while finding the computer she also discovered some EPROMs that she is convinced has some of her unreleased/unfinished games on them!! so here i am with EPROMs wrapped in decades old tin foil. one of them is labelled "Dragonfire"; i look it up and it's an Imagic game that was originally for the Atari 2600 and ported to basically all 8-bit home computers. that one got released but these unlabelled ones, who knows

so oh my god, my gf's mom worked for the 2nd third party developer for the Atari 2600 and most likely got laid off during the video game crash of 1983?? and it's very possible i have the only known copies of VIC-20 Imagic games that got cancelled as the industry crashed??? just sitting in my room wrapped in tin foil???? holy shit?????
