so i found out that monkey’s paw thing comes from an actual victorian short story. i read it (it’s quite short) and it was incredibly good and fucked up. only now i few vaguely uneasy and creeped out. damn you, monkey’s paw! but for real, it’s worth a read
the medium of the short story is so awesome, especially with that victorian era prose. i mean i’ve read all the sherlock holmes short stories several times, which also can be dark and unsettling. i just really enjoy that type of thing. oh wow, it IS spooky season
