A lot of things are dissuading me from moving to Melbourne but the weather being 38C might actually do it.
I know it's silly to complain about heat when talking about Australia but there's a difference between bearable heat vs living your life permanently hopping between aircon spaces and I really don't want that.
fwiw i don't think it's been this hot here all summer this year, and next week is supposed to be consistently under 24C so i think today might just be an outlier. it still Fucking Sucks though
It's awful. I feel like I spend six months of the year dreading ever stepping out my front door.
That is news to me since I've been hearing bad humidity stuff from my friends there!
big humidity is for queensland and sydney... there are humid days here but usually its paired with a nice thunderstorm/cool change so its ok
i still think Melbourne is too moist for me. when i was up in Broken Hill i was surprised at how comfortable I was. "wow, I can comfortably wear a flanny in 30 degree heat!"
i understand i'm actually insane (i'd love very hot weather for part of the year) BUT if it's humid it must be hell. so i would understand not wanting to experience that
