This morning, when I was waiting at a bus stop for my appointment, a woman rolled down her windows and yelled at me:
"Buses don't work! Get a car, loser!"
She drove off. My bus arrived right afterwards. Made it to my appointment with time to spare. ๐
lmfao what the fuck. I've used public transport for years and never met anyone that cooked
I get yelled at from the road once at least a year (mostly racist slurs). Maybe I just look like I'm easily bullied. ๐
being white does definitely tip the odds in my favour ๐
still, I'm surprised I've never had to deal with anyone yelling other kinds of slurs
terrifying that this horrendously wrong opinion can exist and inform votes though ๐ฌ
The fact that buses do work despite the aggressive warfare against them by the general public and urban planners is a miracle and proof of the innate resilience of public transporation
