I was out thrifting today when I overheard a senior couple talking loudly while I was in the changing room:
"Oh my gawd I look gorgeous--"
"You can't wear that to church!"
"Well, I'm not wearing it for Jesus, am I?"
This was shortly followed up by:
"I'm telling you, I refuse to wear anything Italian!"
"It says here it's 'Made in China'!"
"Well, I don't trust it! I know Italians when I see one!"
There was a forecasted storm for the weekend but I still went out despite better judgment and ended up getting utterly wet because, yay, my tiny umbrella was ill-equipped against this level of rain and winds. But on the flip side, I managed to thrift a beautiful, well-fitting Ralph Lauren jacket for such a low price part of me wonders if it's actually a fake.
