So, there are a bunch of conflicting reports regarding which Gong Cha branches are actually participating in the collab and what hoops you had to jump through. For my store, I had to choose the collaboration drinks, but I also got the mount code AND the keychain in a single purchase.
This is not true for every store. There are people on Canadian twitter saying that their participating Gong Cha allows them to buy snacks instead, while US twitter says that they were allowed to buy any drink, but the store only let them choose between the mount code or the keychain.
It may sound blasphemous as a Taiwanese person to say this, but I don't like Gong Cha. I think there are better tea stores out there. Almost nobody goes to Gong Cha in Taiwan. Even Tiger Sugar, the store that people line up for in NYC, can be found on every corner and night market.
If I had to choose, I'd much prefer Hanlin, a little bit pricier but they use better milks and their base tea is a lot nicer. Don't @me unless you want to come to Taiwan and I'll take you on a magical date where we walk around our newly-ish built library. 😤
I gave my friends the drinks. They enjoyed it, so, there.
ANYWAY, here's a more important note. You don't redeem the code directly through Mogstation, you have to go to here to get a code that you can then redeem through Mogstation.
