I really love this current Twitter trend going around where indie devs share their game + 3 other images from their inspirations, and since I don't have a WIP image yet for my next game, I thought I'd just share the 4.

None of these inspirations go very far (in that I'm not aping style or trying to achieve anything similar), but rather taking bits and pieces and moods I enjoy. SIGNALIS, because there's nothing more important than being gay love despite the horrors screaming at you to stop. Tetsuo...well, I'll let the game speak for itself on release, though it's best illustrated with this panel.

Script is done, and size-wise, it sits three times as large as The Good Weapon but we'll see how much it changes (and gets cut down) when the scenes get prototyped and put into production.

So the game company that hired my partner is trying to weasel their way out of paying her the sign-on bonus and relocation money. Absolute fuckers. Not only that, they're trying to get her to give it up willingly by making her feel bad that she is "taking advantage" of the multi-million dollar company, while constantly saying it "wasn't their fault" and "for the record, we never mentioned the [sign on bonus]."

They did. I know, because I sat in on the zoom interview and read the contracts before she signed them. I went over the paper trail and prepared a response for her, but the fact of the matter is that they almost (and still might) got away with it.

My partner doesn't want to fight it. Like many others, she dislikes confrontation. She told me she's afraid the boss will "do things to make her life miserable at work". She got very scared when her boss immediately jumped to conclusions and accused her of "taking advantage" of them.

I get it. The reality is that she needs and wants this job.

But man, this industry. Might I say, the sign-on bonus and the relocation money was a pittance. Those were insulting numbers to begin with.

Bad news: your gal had to endure sifting through paragraphs upon paragraphs of fragile white male ego before formulating a response and letting the boss feel like he got a "win" so he wouldn't retaliate

I am very tired

This angry looking dancy bird here is a Willie Wagtail that are all over Australia. They are extremely friendly birds (despite their grumpy eyebrows) that hop, wag and chirp.
