My Overcomplicate theory about the MILF show I haven't watched:

they had casting calls for a completely different show about moms and sons, likely fake.

Then they separated the milfs from their sons and had them independently fill out "follow-up" forms opting into shows they're considering casting for in the future. The moms checked 'yes' for interest in a dating show for Cougars, and the sons checked yes for a dating show for Cougars, and when they got all the results, they only followed up with MILF-Son duos that both independently checked yes.

yeah i wondered abt this too before it started airing but i'm like 98% certain they all knew what they were getting into. every single time the premise comes up they act soooo corny about it it doesn't read like genuine surprise at all. they're like "HhUuuhhhhh Whatttttt Haha no wayyy? Like reaally? Wowww this isn't what I was expecting... what!"

they brought a new duo on this week, Terrace House style, and they literally arrived at the manor together and THEN were like ":)? wow, i didn't realize!!"
