so on most pics, for lines i use the third iteration of a brush i made a long time ago. it looks like this when you increase the size.
i think it makes the pic look slightly more interesting than just using a simple circle brush, but since i tend to draw at like 4000×3000 and scale down on websites, it's often not that noticeable. oh well
for light & shadow i just use krita's builtin "
b) Basic-4 Flow Opacity" (wow great name guys). sometimes i flick the switch on it that makes pen pressure also affect the size, if that makes something easier. by default it's just a circular brush with opacity affected by pressure. other programs will have something similar obviously.
for quick pics i sometimes just use a hard-edged binary brush. once i used it on an actual full Thing too and had a lot of fun playing with dither patterns (which is also a builtin brush), and this ask has reminded me that i should mess around with that stuff again at some point.
oh and for doodling i use "
RM Sketch 2B" from this pack. i like how smooth it feels. but that stuff rarely gets uploaded tbh
since the pressure is the thing that doesn't work very well on my android tablet's pen, i'm playing around with some kind of brush that doesn't use pressure at all, but nothing im satisfied with yet
here's a link to the line & binary brushes i mentioned if you wanna mess around with them a bit. sorry i don't know how to export them to a format other programs will understand, or if that is even possible
