anyway i have played A Bit of return of ishtar and it is so big brained
like
- it is a two player game, and if you play it single player you just have to control both characters simultaneously
- the tower is now a maze of branching paths, where every door is locked, almost all of them with a unique key. all the keys and doors look the same
- ki has like, 40+ spells. you start with i think nine? you can't pause to select them you have to do it while avoiding the monsters
- each floor seems to have its own time limit, that doesn't reset if you come back to it
