Most: pickles

Why?

People are pro or anti, middle ground. They're dividing us and tearing this country apart.
They make everything else taste like pickles. Imperialist flavor.
Lots of things can be pickled but when we say "pickle" everybody knows it just means "dill pickled cucumber". Cultural erasure of other pickles.
I don't like them

Least: potato

Why?

Boil them, mash them, stick them in a stew

I'm not going to take this pickle bait because that is clearly OFF TOPIC in a vegetable discourse! You can pickle anything!

Anyway yes potatoes are flawless and perfect. The most problematic vegetable is definitely celery, a stringy mess that tastes like nothing and has a repulsive texture.

🙄 the pickle defenders are at it again. This is part of the problem with pickles: everyone knows you mean "pickled cucumber" when you just say "pickle" but as soon as I correctly point out the many sins of pickles it's all "you can pickle anything"

Celery is on thin ice

so I was snacky and I thought to myself "oh a glass of Lifeway® Kefir, Pomegranate flavor would be delicious," as one does

but when I go and drink it, my tongue feels weird

kinda tingly, maybe burning?

So I stop drinking because of course I suddenly became allergic to pomegranates and would need to adjust to my new pomegranate-deprived life, if I was lucky enough to survive the anaphylactic reaction

spoilers: I didn't die, and my day progressed as normal (bad)

When Spouse gets home I ask for a second opinion regarding the tingleness of the kefir

It was tingly! I didn't spontaneously develop a pomegranate allergy (so far).

So we drank more of it to figure out what the hell and we realized... it was carbonated.

Turns out if you leave a bunch of "live and active" probiotics in your cultured milk and then seal the bottle, they will fucking keep fermenting and carbonate the whole thing sometimes.

anyway, drink carbonated milk, it's good for your gut flora, maybe
