Okay okay oka y there’s actual queer analysis that can be done on this video game that goes beyond the presence of man ass. There’s nothing on the textual level that’s explicitly gay, but like, you can see it in the tenderness with which shirtless musclemen hold each other at key points, how the relationships are built and maintained between “brothers,” and even with regards to the recurring “dream” motif that runs through the whole story. The way dreams are expressed and emotions allowed to manifest does not, imo, read as purely straight “positive” or “nontoxic” masculinity!!
