Day 2 of being off twitter: I acutely feel the tug in my brain and the urge to fire off a bad take about some random bullshit. Also any time I look at the website to schedule a tweet for the NE account it feels like I’m being exposed to radiation

I mean, if I was specifically trying to get stuff out there for my website I would not be so lucky as to just completely drop it, myself. Part of what sucks about this whole situation is how useful twitter can be. I wouldn't know most of the people I'm following on here without knowing them from twitter, first.

Went there to download my archive this morning, saw a thing that frustrated me and almost replied to it.
For me right now it's less wanting to participate in wretched discourse and more a foundational pillar of my self-esteem is getting people to laugh at my shitposts.
