Earlier this week I released the first half of my live modular techno album, Cast in Amber, as a video performance. This was an album recorded in two chunks for the album, one as a studio performance and one as a live performance for the New York Modular Society.
I'm incredibly proud of this work, even if I never revisited the system. Once you spend a month or two building a modular system and practicing on it, you kind of want to move on. I learned a lot, though.
