#it's so hard because like#anti-Judaism is a real thing!#and it is absolutely getting worse and there are absolutely people using a defense of Palestine as a pretext to cover anti-Judaic garbage#and also at the same time#so many Jews and Jewish institutions have definitions of anti-Judaism that are so broad as to be meaningless#and a lot of white Jews especially are acting frankly paranoid#like the person who panicked after letting a guy in a UPS uniform into a Jewish office building white rolling a dolly of UPS packages just unloaded from a UPS truck in the parking lot#because WHAT IF IT WAS A DISGUISE?????#feels very "white person with a salaried tech job in NYC just came out as trans and is now convinced that life expectancy statistics for Indigenous trans sex workers in Brazil apply to them"#the fear is out of proportion to the reality#which isn't to say the fear itself isn't a real emotion!#but it needs to be handled differently than a fear grounded in an actual likely happening
