the characters (and word bubbles) are sprites on their own plane being programmatically controlled in a game engine (renpy)
yeah, i recognize renpy. are the word bubbles just images, or are slightly modified builtin dialog boxes?
they're flat images because I need them timed to the music and from what I remember working with renpy before, the dialogue box system really does not accommodate that
