Finally, finally finished my video on Simultaneous Voice & Data modems. I've been sitting on this for three years and finally gave up on finding the last component I needed to do it total justice - I think the result is Good Enough, though.

"I'll just refresh Cohost before I go to bed..." Gosh darn it. :D I think it'll have to wait for the morning, though.
tldw: interesting idea but too little, too late and whatever usefulness it could have got marred in standard hell (see: https://xkcd.com/927)

also I feel like I was lied to multiple times during this video (later admitted), does this mean Gravis is a computer? Does this mean I'm a computer too? Very concerned.
Good video thank you
I don’t know if you’ve had many Australians doing the Leonardo DiCaprio point and saying “oh! The Banksia WaveSp!” but I can oblige. Fascinating to see that little condenser mic looking thing literally was that! Of course I only ever used it to place phone calls to the internet
Three or four people have, haha, but I'm glad because I had discovered this on my own, then forgotten it (since it was three years ago) so now I get to know it again
Yelling at a modem, to make it shut up, is objectively hilarious!
I just now got around to watching this and I made a high-pitched squealing noise (not unlike a modem carrier) at around 22m08s when I saw that you showed off the Hayes Smartmodem 300 I sent you a while back, after one of your other modem videos. Yes, this is the same "Apocryphal Mess" that was on Twitter.
I can tell it's the same modem because it wobbled when you set it down, and I remember that it was missing some of its LRF support (Little Rubber Feet). Did you ever end up testing it? I'm curious if it still worked after all those years.
