Like I really want to believe that this was a real thing and not a PronunciationManual bit that escaped, but 'According to Warren Woodford, the name MEPIS is pronounced like "Memphis", with the extra letters removed.' 😂 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MEPIS
The mepis knows what it is at all times. It knows this because it knows what it isn't. By subtracting what it is from what it isn't, or what it isn't from what it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation.
