Amy Rose sat in the unlit closet facing the wall, hands over her closed eyes. Even in the absolute darkness she could still see the fading. Black becoming blacker with every tick of the clock. It was only like this that she could notice it, away from all light. The fading behind all darkness. Amy figured that since the world started with a flashâthe big bangâit only made sense that the universe would be an endless fade to black. These observations, of course, confirmed it. But even knowledge doesn't quite beat fear, and in the darkness she trembled.
