a lot of mail systems still don't handle anything outside of ASCII properly. I have the letter 'ä' in both my name and in my address, so it's pretty common for them to get mangled. I'm used to 'ä' becoming some other letter(s) as well as it just being replaced by question mark(s). however, this is the first time I've seen someone pull off both in the same shipping label
