Today i was going to use a head of broccoli for lunch, but it was too big, so I panicked and made soup.

I once was making salad, and panicked with the spinach, I ended up making quiche florentine with a homemade crossiant crust.

My favorite thing about cooking is when you plan on making eggs and sausage for dinner but discover you're short one egg so you have to pivot into making a complete Italian meal from scratch utilizing nine ingredients you forgot you had and the result is the best meal you had in 2 months

home cooking enthusiasts will spend two hours doing mise en place with ingredients they bought over the last four months and end up inventing a new cuisine because they don't want to spend ten minutes going to the store for a jar of red sauce. i am being deluged with many such stories

which are diced onion, mixed with shredded cheese, and ketchup, spread over white bread, and then microwaved. It's surprisingly good.

Where are my fellow kitchen slobs at? Who is out here making rice and mayonaise because they don't want to spend a second in the kitchen they don't have to?

Maybe on a fancy night I'll break out the chicken bullion cube, treat myself a bit.
