Any time someone is all “oh it’s so hot here” and I see that it’s like, ten degrees hotter here, I do this cool thing where I don’t make it a pissing contest because hey, different areas have different heat tolerances and infrastructures and it’s actually kinda shitty to minimize the difficulty in it being 100 degrees farenheit with no AC and humidity when I’m in a dry 118 but fully equipped to handle it

humidity matters too! I've done 100°F in Cali with no problem at all, 80°F here in Holland floors me most days
YEAH NO JOKE! Sure, the heat here feels like an oven, but it’s heat you can bear out as long as you’re not in direct sunlight- humidity drains you, and stuff I use to mitigate, like cooling towels at work, just don’t function, it’s a real killer!
it's oft way hotter way up here on my apartment balcony than it is wherever the city's temperature sensors are (i have a sensor out there feeding data to my rpi)
Its like 105 here but folks here are used to neber seeing above 101 for like... A day of summer.
Also im just ultra heat and sunlight intolerant, i came for the snow and dark winters, summer is hell no matter where i am
