Shortly after launching this project, I discovered something in a similar vein: a series of dreams that recreate a few of the old main maps of Furcadia. It seems like the main one that is typically uploaded is Fading Memories - Allegria Island of the Past, but supposedly there exist versions for Imaginarium and Furrabian Nights, too.
The owner runs a channel of youtube videos as well -- also called Fading Memories -- and seems to be embarking on a big quest to archive lots of old maps. I happened to have a handful of old dreams laying around, which I had been dragging from computer to computer since 2006 or so (apparently!), and managed to contribute at least one map that FM had been looking for: The Eneema, a multiplayer RPG of sorts that used a network of bots to function.
Nowadays, it seems RPG-like dreams have become more complex. I believe this is thanks to great advances in Furcadia's proprietary scripting systems, particularly the (now-ancient-news) addition of Phoenixspeak and other little things that I currently don't understand, like Regions and such.
I find the idea of archiving dreams to be very cool and good and awesome, as you might well expect. So, if anyone out there happens to have any old dreams saved, or even any old computer that you ever played Furcadia with still alive and kicking, check out Fading Memories's guide on how to contribute to their archive -- you never know, your old laptop might have someone's holy grail on it somewhere.
If you need help getting the files to FM (say, if you don't want to hunt them down on Furcadia yourself, for some reason) feel free to reach out to me!
