finally got neos to run and it is so, so much better than VR chat. being able to within the first half hour make an approximation of my fursona ruled. seeing a snout and bappy paws just aaaaaa
also because it's kinda hard to get running, and the devs are trans, there's so much less middle school spam and crowded spaces. nice and quiet. actually a space I want to be in
plus I haven't scratched the surface yet, but there's the kinda tools here that we had in second life so even I as could in theory make a world or avatar. that rules.
this + using virtual desktop to work is just,,, what I expected VR to be when I was a kid
NeosVR says it's part of the metaverse and it was the first time I haven't rolled my eyes reading that because yeah no they actually just straight up are lol it's not techbro snakeoil like other metaverse projects
