I'm always tickled when a pre-cert (the documents and paperwork I send to insurance for us to have surgeries approved) is novella length lmao it's so comical, people will see me faxing and laugh along with me
ostensibly insurance only needs uhh maybe four or five pages but every once in awhile we have one of those "I will not fucking let this one fall through" cases and I go sweaty pulling out all the stops sending in 100-150 pages worth of clinicals and paperwork
also I had to spend ~2 hours on the phone with the insurance company initiating the cert before even starting on putting together that fuckin 125 page behemoth of a pre-cert. they're gonna approve it just to get it off their desk if nothing else. jesus fucking christ that was hard im so tired haha
my team @ me and the insurance company as I fax over the 90th page of clinical documentation for a pre-cert that almost certainly will be approved
