Here are a couple union wins I haven't been able to profile, but which I can at least get off a post about right now. Congratulations to all of these workers!
- REI unionizations are on a roll as the NLRB announces that workers at the REI store in Maple Grove, Minnesota, voted 22 to 4 in favor of unionizing & workers at the REI in Bellingham, Wash., voted 40 to 12 in favor of unionizing, becoming the 7th & 8th unionized REIs
- Student-workers at Western Washington University just won their campaign to form union with Western Academic Workers United Union. A stunning 805 workers voted yes, while just 19 voted no.
- Congratulations to the Wellesley & Belt workers who became the FIRST Starbucks store to win their union in Spokane, WA in a landslide election of 12-4!!!
- Nearly 2k flight attendants at Allegiant Air, unionized with Transport Workers Union, have tentatively agreed to a historic contract. If ratified, workers will get immediate raises of up to 40%—plus 3% increases for the next 5 years and improved benefits.
