man sure I hate healthcare and love data science,, but looking at massive layoffs in data science rn (since it's a forward looking field and most firms are shifting towards protecting what they have) is, hhhh
like. yeah that'd be a better job, but damn near nobody is gonna lay off a fully trained admin staff of a surgery program, especially one who knows medical coding, Especially when there's only one of them in the program haha. if I did get laid off I'd put "medical coding" on my linkedin page and have a new, decently paying, job by the end of the month
at the end of the day no matter how the economy looks our well of patients will never dry up and my job is almost as secure as it gets. that stability doesn't exist in tech. things I love in tech don't exist here so it's really just weighing how important stability is and,, idk, pretty important haha
