second round interview at [evil hospital that is within walking distance of me] went well! the doctor I'd be working under seemed like a genuinely nice guy unlike the surgeon I work for now, and I think I did pretty good. my two biggest issues with work rn are the commute and the disrespectful/rude head surgeon so im pretty sold on the idea of moving jobs now that I see that this guy is solid. also my friend works on the team and rec'd me to them so feeling confident
during the Q&A section I asked what he thought the hardest part of the job would be, and then told a story about how that just so happens to be my favorite challenge in my current role and how good I am at navigating it, which seemed to land really well. I gotta remember to ask that question more often in interviews.
their department is in Arizona rn for a conference so I was really baffled that he wanted to meet at 5am his time, and he took the call in the lobby of the hotel so as to not disturb his hotel roommate, and im just, hhh we can reschedule its fine, but nah that was his preference. bonkers lmao
