very much so thinking about it,,,,

especially since the mikvah I went to yesterday was like, radically accepting/open and also is accessible by public transit. like. fuck I don't have an excuse not to haha

also I saw one take awhile back, can't remember who said it, but like it was a suggestion to translate טמא as "unready" instead of "impure" in order to disassociate it from the moral connotations that purity takes on in our current culture (which was not the connotation present when this stuff was written) and yeah looking at this with that lens does make it more palatable
