I've been running a Worlds Without Number game for a little bit, took a break for the holidays and gonna start it back up next week.

But, something i've been doing is using some old school dungeon crawl rules, like having the players map out shit as I describe it.

Doin' this in roll20, and after some finagling I devised a system with the players where:

Every time they enter a new room, I declare its dimensions, and as I describe what's in there, the player who's the mapper for the session draws it in.

This shit fuckin' rules, my players are havin' fun with it, and it keeps a kind of character who runs risk of not being engaged [a socially bent character in a monster dungeon] really in there because they're on map duty!

And that stuff, of offloading a bunch of the burden to other players, is why I'm really starting to dig into GMless tech in my games.

Like for all the shit i'll talk about it, doin' freeform RP back on G+ was fun as hell. I wanna capture what made that shit good.
