Was talking with a coworker about how good the fish in the cafeteria sounded and at the end right before I left to go have lunch he just quipped "they don't have scales by the way, catfish that is" I was very ??? for a second before realizing oh! they're not kosher! I had no idea! I was moments away from eating trief and had no clue. Really glad to not be the only Jew working here lol. Just had yogurt and fruit and a salad instead
A patient had just walked up to the window as we had this exchange and I was so tickled that I very Seinfeldianly exclaimed to them "they're not kosher! catfish that is" as if that was pertinent lol
