It sucks that I know enough about the industry to know that my facial surgery precert is going to be denied. they asked for additional clinicals earlier this week which means that they wanted to see pre-op photos which means that they're looking for physical defects which means that gender dysphoria is not a covered reason for the surgery and they're trying to see what physical injury/issue is prompting the surgery (which there is none).
so now im stuck sitting here waiting for the blade to drop. at any moment I could go downstairs to a letter telling me my face is gonna just look like this for the foreseeable future, that I have to get a new job. just wish they'd get it over with so I could properly mourn and mope instead of just,, waiting
