The surgeon told this patient we'd operate by the end of the year despite them not being ready and the consultation being like,,, last month. As context I spent the entire summer begging them to stop giving people surgery dates as doing so was resulting in surgeries falling through left and right before I joined
But okay. Sure. Fine. So I worked my ass off and got everything squared away and cleared and scheduled
The response? Indignation for scheduling a surgery with such short notice without running it by them first. Wh. How would I have known to run it by you if nothing in the progress notes indicate that this is anything but exactly what you are asking for?
I'm so sick and tired of always being wrong. Everyone has very specific ideas on how they want me to do things and none of it is consistent or clearly communicated.
And in the background is the rumbling reminder that the insurance this company pays for denied my personal attempt to get ffs, a surgery that we provide, a surgery that my job it is to coordinate. All for thee none for me
Someone in my network is hiring a data analyst and I can barely squeak under the minimum requirements. I'm desperate. Going to put all my weight behind this application
