a thing that happens a lot more often now that im in a majority shomer shabbos community, that will never not amaze me, is that if someone I meet while at shul wants to chat outside of shul they can't write down my information so I will watch as they just on the spot figure out a way to memorize my phone number or email so they can reach out 26 hours later. I'm always like holy shit there's no way, and then I'll leave shabbat and get a text from them shortly after. meanwhile I can barely remember their names >.<
