As someone who has lived in Japan for +5 years and am transitioning here, I've been getting questions here and there from trans folks wanting to visit Japan in varying stages of transition.

So, I put together this short guide on navigating toilets, hot springs, and bringing medication over, and nightlife in Tokyo.

I started putting together "Living in Japan as a Trans Person" in English and there is a LOT of stuff to cover. That will have to wait for a later time when I have more time and more funds to work on something comprehensive.

For now, here's this simple guide. If you like it, send me a tip! It encourages me to take the time to write more things like this.

This is wonderful! Thanks so much for putting this together! ^^ I've been living here for a while now and even I learned a few things. I never knew that Goldfinger had become friendly to trans women or about WAIFU Party for example! Maybe my GF and I should check out the latter sometime...

my wife and I have been to a WAIFU party (in 2019) and it was incredible!

I am in disbelief that Goldfinger became trans inclusive. I mean it's great news but I don't know how I could possibly trust them.

I saw the place flying a trans flag in 2019, while all the exclusionary shit was ongoing. I read it was because they wanted to invite trans men in their lesbian bar
