So!! An ocean liner is hard to define, but basically it's when a boat is acting as bus lol. Generally speaking they're made to have a single departure and a single destination with a time table and schedule, they're meant for transportation (though leisurely transportation is the ideal of course)
Cruise ships are more meandering and will stop and multiple points along the way, the passengers are expecting more or less a floating hotel, and the boats are designed with that in mind
There's a ton of overlap, especially near the end of the ocean liner era, because well yeah cruise ships developed from the ocean liner model
Right, yeah, I figured it was something like that! I was curious as to if there were any more… …contrived elements to determining which is which, but this explains it well!!
You're the second person who's asked that question though so I definitely will include it in the video, I'm sure that in my research I will find some more interesting delineation :3
