I've been trying to wear predominantly natural fibers for awhile now, they're just genuinely better all around and will last longer, which is fine during the summer when I have linen, but now that we're heading into winter I'm realizing that, oh, typical manufacturing processes sew everything together with linen thread,,, getting wool clothing that isn't shatnez is probably going to be a struggle,,,

Yes! I was mistaken. My understanding that most textiles are linen thread was applicable historically, so comes up in historical textile recreation where I heard it (and where I learned how to make/use wool thread, it's a bitch), but modern clothes yes they're usually polyester
