In the daily Talmud reading for the past week we've been seeing different rulings on the way one signifies that a transaction is complete and final, with "lifting above the head" as the most concrete and ideal way of signifying this
Yesterdays daf, bava basra 86, had the great line that for domesticated animals passing the leash is sufficient, no lifting or pushing needed, because "a small animal is different than other small things for they cling to the earth". Same? Mood??
I suppose in my heart I always knew.
