some behind the scenes is that i'm actually kind of disappointed that evanescence is probably gonna win the nu metal tournament..... i like the band just fine, fallen was a big album of my tween years. but they're not really nu metal. and i'm starting to get some shit about that 😓 and i can take the heat, but it just feels kinda bleh to have to finish off this project with like. an apology. but y'know i did have my reasons for including them. they're so associated with the nu metal scene that it would have felt wrong to leave them out. and i mean for goodness's sake they sure aren't the only non-nu metal band i included. hoobastank and hollywood undead both made it in. although that was mostly an issue of me needing to balance the bracket LMAO
anyway it's not a big deal. i've had fun running the tournament and if the people want evanescence then evanescence they shall receive. i'm just exercising the cohost clunk complaint corner :-)
