@stonyponyofficial asked:

hiiiiii char now i hope this request isn't too rude, but would u be willing to do an all ska musical plot outline post for ur all ska WILT this month🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

YEAH I DO THIS & BTW I LOVE YOU OKAY I DO THIS NOW

as always haunted is our pre-show music. i can't start every single musical with the same song especially when that song is physically impossible to sing live in a theater environment

Everything Went Numb: we open on the aftermath of a botched heist. our heist group of four will be our perhaps morally questionable but lovable protagonists. spoiler: these four will later be represented as the named characters from 9mm and a three piece suit, so i'm just gonna call them the names from that song - steve, heather, jack, and jill. hey those last two are like that freaking movey. surely that won't bear any relevance to the story. :)

Just A Girl: so yeah anyway steve and jill get away from the scene and immediately cease to be protagonists but heather and jack get arrested for trying to do crime and they're trying to worm their ways out of it. and i'm imagining a scene where like, we see both of them in their own individual interrogation cells, and heather is doing just a girl as like a way of trying to play on the cops' biases to get an easier deal, while also kinda winking to the audience about how stupid the cops are. and then we go to jack's cell and he's pretending to be jill. WHOAH. i guess it did have some relevance...... o_o but yeah so he does the same bit by pretending to be jill but it doesn't work for either of them and they get thrown in jail

One Step Beyond: jailbreak sequence!!!! lots of comical sneaking around and shushing each other and whatnot and i imagine jack is still wearing his girly get-up and really bugs bunnying up the place. and there's a little bit of chase sequence when the occasional guard spots them. i picture this as almost the theatrical equivalent of like a stealth section of a game

the two make it out and reconnect with steve and jill. the former pair is pissed at the latter for abandoning them, the latter is pissed bc the former have missed several heist attempts during the time they were navigating the incarceration system, and jack and heather eventually turn on each other bc they can't agree on the details of what went down at the jail and perhaps heather makes a less-than-flattering comment about jack's girlish look, which he bristles at. this is foreshadowing, people.

9mm and a Three Piece Suit: both jack and heather arrange their own new heists, now split from one another. jack reluctantly enlists jill to help; heather does the same with steve. there are some hiccups along the way but they all walk away from whichever heist with a good payday to their name

Crack Rock Steady: feeling high on success and extra ambitious, heather decides to up the ante on her criminal endeavors, eventually progressing to killing cops

A Message to You Rudy: meanwhile, jack and jill find a mentor figure who tells them that now they have the money to stay on their feet and not have to do crime to survive anymore, and thus they should do that. i'm gonna call this mentor figure "rhys" for dumb reasons

Time Bomb: i think a time skip happens around here, and we see heather descend further and further into a dark life of crime for crime's sake that hurts her far more than it helps her

Morbid Obsessions: yeah i'm fucking going there. after the time skip jack is now a trans woman, and she does morbid obsessions and a little reprise of just a girl. fuckin deal with it. and these days she's on the straight and narrow, still close with rhys but keeping an eye out for her wayward (former) friends

Walkin' On The Sun: the cops have caught heather and steve, now serious felons, and this is the officers' victory song. i'm imagining the part from the bridge "the bond is broke now, so choke up and focus on the close-up" to be where they take the mugshots. i think that would be clever. anyway jack (i don't have a new name in the wings for her. i think i'm just gonna keep calling her jack, there should be more trans women called jack) catches wind of this fresh arrest and becomes worried for her old friends, despite everything

On My Radio/Sound System: jack goes to jill for help and it's at this time that jill and steve recall that they have small communication devices planted in them. or some gay shit like that idk it's a little radio okay? and so jill does on my radio bc she's the one who got the radios, while steve does sound system when about to contact jill as a last resort for help. they formulate a plan over the radios

Nervous In The Alley: jack waffles on whether she should enter the prison with the guise of a prisoner to get to heather and steve and break them out. she's literally nervous in the alley. she ends up doing it

Mirror In the Bathroom: i think this could be another jack character song where some transgender stuff happens because she is the protagonist and she's still struggling with being torn between these two worlds as well as figuring herself out along the way

the group breaks out of prison AGAIN and we get a little reprise of nervous in the alley, more victorious than actually nervous this time, which then goes into...

Bomb Drop: steve and jill reunite, and jack and heather have an actual proper reconciliation with one another where they make up and each grow closer to understanding why the other has made the decisions they have and heather apologizes for being a little transphobic earlier. boy that's a lot to fit in this one song. well anyway jack and heather are then both arrested for breaking out of prison :-)

Tougher Than Tough: big court scene. jack and heather try to argue their way out of things but it looks pretty hopeless for them. heather is reaching the end of her rope and jack is distraught over essentially throwing away the life she had worked for. things are looking bad.....

The Shark Fighter!: god this one ruins everything. so rhys comes back into the story here, accompanied by jill and steve, and he gets this little song about how cool he is and he goes all ace attorney and defends jack and heather and gets them off the hook. conflict resolved

Goodbye in Gasoline: or IS the conflict resolved? gasp!!! heather has kind of a darkest hour moment where she reflects on the hurt she's caused people, and wonders if she'd be better off gone and away from everyone. the rest of the group flips the song and assures her that isn't quite the case. they rejoin as a group with the agreement that they're all going to support each other and keep out of trouble, with rhys now also in the group and maybe they met some other criminals in their prison endeavors or something but those guys don't get any songs so idk what their deals are

Hooligans: group victory song celebrating their renewed friendship and salvation from crime, as well as jill and steve's new engagement in the conclusion to a shoehorned romance subplot

We Are Number One: big ensemble finale with the entire cast joining in!

it's hard finding stuff for steve and jill to do while jack and heather move the plot along, i was originally gonna give the on my radio/sound system sequence to the latter pair but i figured steve and jill should get to do SOMETHING. i wish they could have gotten a love song or something but alas i don't have one. btw i'm figuring that jack and jill are siblings and so are steve and heather and that's why they stick close even when they're fighting. and jack and heather aren't romantically involved but maybe they could be a little flirty who knows. i also don't know who's singing 9mm and a three piece suit, bc it mentions all four leads by name so someone else has to be singing it. the other prisoners, i guess? sure. i kind of really resent the character of rhys as well, i guess it's nice to have some additional characters in mix but he just kind of comes out of nowhere and shark fighters it up, which doesn't fit the tone i was initially going for. so y'know, there's some places where it could use some ironing as always but that's what i've got with the given materials ^w^ not a lot of ska in the actual plot but maybe they all dress like hooligans and rude boys.

thank you so so so so much to violer for the funney ask and letting me write this!! ^w^ <333
