who am i?
who... am i? do you mean...
where i'm from?
born and raised in the philippines. traveled a lot.
fulfilled my dreams (or so i thought) in california.
hit the hard reset button. now living in portland.
what i've done?
i was a software engineer at a big tech company in silicon valley. one of hundreds of thousands of employees cogs in their capitalist machine.
i never want to be a part of that again.
what i do?
nowadays i just make whatever i wanna make.
discord bots, stardew valley mods, android apps, art memes, extremely niche automation scripts, obscure python utility libraries... the list goes on.
what i dream?
i want to do cool things that actually matter.
not things whose raison d'être is to line the overflowing pockets of the top 1%...
things that make the world a better place.
things that make good people smile.
do you mean...
what i've seen? what you see?
who i love? what i've lost?
what i one day might become?
who am i?
i guess who i am is...
exactly the same as who you are.
not better than.
not less than.
because there is no one who has been, or will ever be, exactly the same as either you or me.
what is this?
inspired by a quote from Sense8.
(also probably way too long, sorry (not really))

I was surprised at how little tweaking they required, gold tends to have a warmer cast, so worked well with the first image in particular
Very nice! I lived in Leeds, maybe 30 years ago, but I don't remember it looking so good. Whereabouts is this?
The ridgeway, this weird little bit of land between Headingley and Woodhouse that's so steep it was never built on, so it's still woods, it runs parallel to the Otley Road
Ah, Yes. My grandparents lived near there and I'm sure I visited many times but I forgot the details. My father went to the school on the Meanwood side of the valley. I seem to recall a pub called The Chemic in the area, too.
Epson scanners still bringing the goods even in the era of mirrorless camera + copy stand scanning
Honestly I'm very impressed, I've been using a Plustek film scanner as well, but honestly the Epson just works more reliably out of the box, even if the 35mm resolution isn't as good
It's possible to get very nice results from 35mm scans if you're not afraid to crank the sharpening in Ps/Lightroom!
I've done that recently, and also removed the noise reduction that lightroom does automatically, the results are much better!
