Stop trying to commercialize the fediverse, geez.
Gruber's thesis is "Android apps don't look nice, which is why no one is bothering to make a commercial Mastodon client," which is ridiculous.
The real reason is that anyone who wants to make an Android Mastodon client isn't doing so to profit off it. It literally is a hobby.
My hot take is that deciding "I'm going to make a commercial Mastodon client" is motived 100% by profit. And deciding you want to profit off the hard work and dedication of untold numbers of hobbyists who build and maintain the fediverse is disgusting.
