fun fact about brussels sprouts! they have been bred to be CONSIDERABLY less bitter over the last half century. so they actually were much less generally palatable. convinced my mom when i got her to try them again after like 40 years of her swearing them off >.<
Oh that’s so cool and makes a ton of sense! The species that includes Brussels sprouts, Brassica oleracea, is notoriously genetically-malleable and as a result is like, dozens of different vegetables. Makes sense they’d be able to breed it into a better form! Thanks for the info share :3
