occasionally things like are REALLY grating on my brain for no reason and like stay that way for a bit afterwards.

i say this because a streamer i really like titled their stream "first h.264 stream" and they are v technically literate but my brain is screaming "you meant first NVENC stream, the x264 encoder still produces an h.264 stream just via a different encoder" and it won't stop.

i'm not gonna correct them bc that is just unnecessary but i can't have their stream title in my vision its driving me insane because nobody understands codecs and most streamers spread confusing almost truths about formats and settings and its a pet peeve of someone who worked on encoders. ultimately it doesn't matter but AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

i do not go to my company's all hands not because i don't want to know what tf we are doing but because PEOPLE CANNOT MUTE TO SAVE THEIR LIVES AND THE DOZENS OF OVERLAPPING VOICES GIVE ME A HEADACHE.
